I can’t wait to share this little piece with you 💓🤸♀️…just before lockdown, I had this idea of combining yoga with dance and creating something playful and joyful…a few yoga poses waved in together with dance movements and accompanied by a nice piece of music…for years, I have longed to return back to dance in a more nourishing way, and this is my little step towards that and sharing what I love about dance with you 🌞
The main part of the workshop will be learning a yoga dance sequence to music…the little choreography will be based on your yoga mat, with some movements away from it…the beginning of the class will be dedicated to understanding and learning some contemporary dance “skills”, like contraction and release, floor work (we will learn how to roll on the floor - it’s going to be so much fun 😄) and how to bring more grace into your movements 🌸
The workshop will be held in The Inner Space in Katoomba, a little gem in the mountains I have discovered recently. I can’t wait to meet you there on Sunday the 12th for some playful movements 😊 If you feel like this is something that could be fun, book in early as spaces are very limited 💕

Handstand / INVERSIONS / ARM BALANCing YOGA COURSES

The handstand/inversions/arm balancing courses are back 😊 After running three of these courses last year and having quite a few people who asked me at the beginning of the year if I was going to run these again, I have decided to do so…YAY 😊 It was so much fun and more than I could even imagine…beautiful people, much laughter, lots of strength drills and balancing on our arms 🤸💛 And I just couldn’t say no…I am so excited about running these again and working on our strength and balance together. The course will run at 5pm at the Yoga Shed at Medlow Bath (12 St Albans Rd) for 6 weeks, around 90 min each class. The cost of the course is $180. You’ll learn different variations of a headstand, forearm stand, handstand, press handstand and some other arm balances 🤸 If you are one of the playful enthusiasts who has been intrigued and drawn to balancing upside down, like a good play and are keen to throw your body into various funky shapes while balancing on your arms, this course is for you 🙃 This course will be packed with tools/exercises to uncover your weak points and help you to gain strength to fly 😄🦄 It will be filled with progressions to do each pose, and when you feel comfortable, more and more layers will be added to keep you challenged.

There are only 7 spots in each group (to ensure enough wall space for everyone) and many places have been already taken. P.S.: Please know that you are most welcome to work with what you feel comfortable in each class (no judgement at all) and you don’t have to push yourself to do it all…it’s so much more important to respect your bodies and to be mindful, and if you don’t feel ready to do some harder variations to rather work on your basics and take it a step at a time 😊
Note: Inversions are poses in which your body is upside down, where the head is below the heart and legs are often reaching towards the sky (but not necessarily)...a simple downward facing dog is a mild inversion as well...in this course we will concentrate on poses where we will balance on the arms.
